Role in General Assembly
Ed DeGrange serves in many leadership positions. While he had the opportunity to serve on the Finance Committee for three years during his first term, he started out and has served his second, third, fourth, and now his fifth term as a member of the Budget and Taxation Committee. He is the Chairman of the Capital Budget and Public Safety, Transportation and the Environment Subcommittees. He is also a member of the Executive Nominations Committee, the Vice Chairman of the Rules Committee, the Senate Chairman of the Joint Committee on Legislative Ethics, and the Senate Chairman of the Joint Committee on Legislative Information Technology and Open Government. Additionally he is a member of the Joint Committees on Legislative Policy, Capital Debt Affordability, the State Center Executive, and the Statewide Interoperability Executive Committees. Lastly, he is a member of the The Council of State Governments Transportation Task Force, Veterans Caucus and the Legislative Sportsmen Caucus.
